Privacy Notice
Effective date: 7 November 2026
Website operator: Adrian Jin, operating as Ask Adrian.
Contact: hello@askadrianjin.com.
This notice explains how Ask Adrian collects, uses, and shares personal data when you visit our website, contact us, apply for pro bono support, or work with us. In this notice, “Ask Adrian”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the operator identified above.
1. What we collect and why
- Enquiries and introductory calls. We may collect your name, work contact details, company, role, and the information you choose to share about your business. We use it to respond, arrange a call, assess whether we can help, and prepare a proposal where appropriate.
- Advisory engagements. We may collect contact and billing details, correspondence, meeting notes, and relevant information supplied for the work. We use it to manage the engagement, deliver the agreed services, coordinate specialist contributions, issue invoices, and maintain business records.
- Pro bono applications. We may collect your contact details, a description of the support you need, and relevant evidence of eligibility. We use that information to assess your application and communicate the outcome. Please share only the evidence requested and redact unrelated personal details. If we need sensitive documents, we’ll arrange a suitable way to receive them.
We collect, use, and disclose personal data with your consent or as otherwise permitted or required by law. If you share personal data about someone else, please make sure you are authorised to provide it for the relevant purpose.
2. Who we share personal data with
We may share relevant information with specialists involved in an agreed engagement and with providers that support our operations, such as website hosting, email, scheduling, document storage, and invoicing providers, where used. We limit what we share to the information needed for the relevant task. We may also disclose information where required by law or in response to a lawful request from a public authority.
3. Transfers outside Singapore
Some specialists or service providers may access or process personal data outside Singapore. When we transfer personal data overseas, we take steps required under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) to ensure it receives a comparable standard of protection.
4. Website data and cookies
Our website or hosting provider may process technical information, such as IP addresses, browser information, and request logs, to operate and secure the website.
Enquiry forms. Our contact form uses Web3Forms to send enquiries to business@askadrianjin.com. When you submit the form, your name, email address, preferred contact method, mobile number if provided, organisation if provided, selected topic, and message are sent to Web3Forms for processing and email delivery. Web3Forms may also process technical information and use service providers to detect spam and abuse. See the Web3Forms Privacy Policy for details. If you prefer not to use the form, you can email hello@askadrianjin.com directly.
Fonts. We load the Switzer and Clash Display fonts from Fontshare. Your browser connects to Fontshare’s servers to retrieve the font files and stylesheets. Those requests disclose technical information, such as your IP address and browser request information, to the provider.
Cookies and other tools. We have not added analytics, advertising pixels, embedded booking tools, or embedded marketing tools to the website. Our own website code does not set cookies or store enquiry details in your browser’s local storage. The hosting and form-service providers may use cookies or similar technologies for their own security and service operation; this statement does not mean that their services are cookie-free.
Your browser choices. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings and use browser controls to restrict third-party requests. Restricting requests may affect font loading or form submission. You can still contact us directly by email if the form does not work. We will update this notice if we introduce tools that change how the website collects or uses personal data.
5. How we protect and retain personal data
We take reasonable steps to protect personal data against unauthorised access, use, disclosure, or loss. We retain it for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected or for legitimate business or legal purposes. When it is no longer needed, we dispose of it securely or remove information that identifies individuals.
Web3Forms states that form submissions may be retained for up to three years, unless a shorter period applies or they are deleted earlier. Copies delivered to our email account are subject to our retention approach described above. See its Privacy Policy for its current retention terms.
6. Your choices and requests
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access your personal data, request information about how it was used or disclosed, or ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information. You may also withdraw consent by giving reasonable notice. If withdrawal affects our ability to assess an application or continue a service, we’ll explain the practical consequences.
To make a request or raise a concern, contact our Data Protection Officer at hello@askadrianjin.com. We may ask for enough information to verify your identity and understand your request.
7. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as our services or data handling practices change. We’ll post the revised notice on this website with a new effective date.
