Terms of Use
Effective date: 7 November 2026
Website operator: Adrian Jin, operating as Ask Adrian.
Contact: hello@askadrianjin.com.
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of the Ask Adrian website and its enquiry and application forms. In these terms, “Ask Adrian”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the website operator identified above.
2. Website information
The website explains our business advisory services and provides general information for business owners and leadership teams. Our service descriptions, examples, and case studies illustrate the types of work we do. Recommendations specific to your business are provided under an agreed engagement and depend on its scope, the information available, and your circumstances.
3. Enquiries and engagement
The initial 20-minute call helps us understand your objectives and assess whether we’re a good fit for the work. Submitting an enquiry, booking a call, or receiving a proposal is a preliminary step. An advisory engagement begins once both parties accept the written engagement agreement and meet any agreed requirements for starting work.
The engagement agreement sets out the scope, deliverables, timetable, fees, payment terms, and each party’s responsibilities. It also covers any agreed cancellation, rescheduling, or refund terms. If these website terms and the engagement agreement differ on a matter relating to the services, the engagement agreement takes precedence for that matter.
4. Fees and changes to scope
Website prices are shown in Singapore dollars and apply to the package or starting scope described. Before you commit, we’ll confirm the fee, applicable taxes, payment schedule, and any agreed expenses or specialist charges in writing. If the work changes after the engagement starts, we’ll agree with you on any changes to the scope, fees, or timeline before beginning the additional work.
5. Specialist involvement
Adrian leads the engagement and remains your main point of contact. Where the work calls for specialist expertise, we’ll agree with you on the specialist’s role, deliverables, and fees. If a specialist service is contracted separately, the quotation will identify the provider and the terms that apply.
6. Pro bono applications
We offer a limited number of pro bono advisory engagements for eligible student-led startups, non-profits, and family businesses facing financial or operational distress. Apply through the registration form with the requested evidence of eligibility and a short description of the support you need. We assess applications based on eligibility, fit, and availability. If we can help, we’ll confirm the scope and any conditions in writing.
7. Information you share with us
Please provide accurate information and share only material you’re authorised to disclose. For an initial enquiry, a brief description of your business and the issue you want to address is enough. If we need confidential records or supporting documents, we’ll agree on how to receive them and who needs access.
Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle personal data submitted through the website. Confidentiality arrangements for client work are set out in the engagement agreement.
8. Website content and acceptable use
You may view and share links to public pages on this website. Please obtain permission before reproducing or reusing website content commercially, except where the law permits it. Third-party names, marks, and materials belong to their respective rights holders.
Please use the website lawfully. Keep submissions accurate, avoid impersonation, and respect the security and availability of the site. Third-party websites and tools linked from this site are governed by their own terms and privacy notices.
9. Business decisions and legal rights
You remain responsible for decisions about your business. Any targets or projections discussed during an engagement depend on the assumptions, information, and conditions agreed for that work. Any terms about responsibility for losses arising from paid services are set out in the engagement agreement, subject to applicable law. These terms preserve any rights or remedies that the law makes mandatory.
10. Changes, governing law, and contact
We may update these terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. The terms of an existing engagement may be changed in accordance with its written agreement.
These website terms are governed by Singapore law. The courts of Singapore have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights that apply. If you have a question or concern, contact us at hello@askadrianjin.com.
